ActiveX- it was built to link desktop applications to the World Wide Web, bye using the software developers can create interactive Web content for their applications.

Algorithm-such as adding two numbers together, or a complex function, such as adding effects to an image

GPS- (Global Positioning System) is a satellite navigation system used to determine ground position and velocity (location, speed, and direction).

network topology- describes the arrangement of systems on a computer network defines how the computers, or nodes, within the network are arranged and connected to each other.

Token- In networking-The TOKEN send information to the other computers. Since there is only one token for each token-ring network, only one computer can send data at a time.
In programming-TOKEN is a single element of a programming language.
• There are five categories of tokens: 1) constants, 2) identifiers, 3) operators, 4) separators, and 5) reserved words.

In security systems-hard token is small card that displays an identification code used to log into a network, is user enters the correct password, the card will display the current ID needed to log into the network. This creates protection for the to the network.

Bluetooth-used for short-range connections between desktop and laptop computers, PDAs (like the Palm Pilot or Handspring Visor), digital cameras, scanners, cellular phones, and printers.

Gateway-hardware or software that acts as a bridge between two networks so that data can be transferred between a number of computers

Hub-hardware device that is used to network multiple computers together.

Switch- used to network multiple computers together, MORE advanced than hubs and less capable than routers, they can limit the traffic to and from each port so that each device connected.

P2P- (Peer to Peer) are computer systems which are connected to each other via the Internet, flies that can shared directly between systems on the network without the need of a central server.
